How to Get Rid of the RIM Messages on My BlackBerry

BlackBerry smartphones are very popular with those users who want messaging capabilities, such as email and text messaging. RIM (Research In Motion), the maker of BlackBerry devices, have default settings that include a signature to the bottom of all emails that are sent. The signature will include text that reads "Sent via Blackberry from AT&T" or something similar. Many users want to get rid of this tagline altogether or change it to a custom message to suit their needs.

Instructions

1. Log on to your BIS (Blackberry Internet Service) account. Select the email account for which you wish to change the email signature.

2. Click on the "Edit" option that is next to your email account.

3. Select the "Signature" field from the list of fields for your email account that appear.

4. Delete the text you no longer want to appear and enter alternate text if you wish. You can set it not to display text if you prefer.

5. Click "Save" to finish.
