How to Hook My DIRECTV to My Gateway PC With a TV Tuner
Some Gateway computers come with a pre-installed TV tuner. This gives the computer the ability to use a television signal. If your Gateway computer does not have a pre-installed tuner, you can install one yourself. With the TV tuner, you can connect your Gateway to any television programming source, including DirecTV.

Tips & Warnings
If you do not have a TV tuner pre-installed in your computer, you can purchase an external device from most electronic and computer stores. Any external TV tuner is acceptable and works with a Gateway computer as long as it states it is "PC Compatible." Once connected, insert the driver installation disk and install the driver. Then remove the disk and insert the software installation disk. Once the software has finished installing, you can connect your DirecTV receiver.
