How to Sew a Collapsible Baby Hamper
Collapsible baby hampers are a portable alternative to traditional stationary hampers. Collapsible hampers offer the convenience of space efficiency with the functionality of a traditional hamper. When making a collapsible hamper for a baby's bedroom, be sure to select a fabric that is completely breathable to avoid any dangerous circumstances once the child is a toddler.

Cut a 1 1/2-foot-wide by 2-feet-tall rectangle from the fabric. This will serve as the sides of the hamper.
-
-
3
Fold the fabric in half, wrong sides out, and sew the long edges together.
-
4
Pin the boning in place so that it circles around the hamper in a spring shape. Sew the boning into position with a straight stitch.
-
5
Trace the hamper's shape onto the remaining fabric and cut out the circle for the bottom of the hamper. Sew it in place by matching right sides together.
-
6
Turn the hamper right side out and clip away any remaining threads.
