How to Reset a Display on a Samsung Television

Save

Samsung televisions have several options that allow the user to adjust the display. The display adjustments available include screen brightness, color, tint, contrast and sharpness. Different television programs, such as sports broadcasts, and input sources, such as a program on DVD, may require display adjustment for clearer viewing. After making adjustments to the display, you may prefer the original settings on the television. To return the television to the factory settings, reset the display controls.

  • Press the "Menu" button on the television to bring up a list of user-adjustable settings.

  • Highlight "Picture" on the left sidebar menu by pressing the down arrow button and press "Enter." A list of picture settings will appear on the main portion of the screen, to the right of the left sidebar.

  • Press the down arrow button to highlight "Reset" and press the "Enter" button. The television display will revert to the factory settings.

  • Push the "Exit" button to leave the menu and return to regular television viewing.
