How to Unzip an Archive Containing JavaScript Files

JavaScript, a script language created and produced by Sun Microsystems, gives designers the ability to craft programs and applications for online use. Sun provides a wide variety of JavaScript file downloads, many of which come zipped (compressed for easier transfer). Luckily you can unzip the files without much effort.

Instructions

    • 1

      Launch the extraction/unzip program you have installed on your computer. If you do not currently have a program like this, you can download a free trial from WinZip.com.

      Drag-and-drop the archived JavaScript zip file into the main viewing area of the extraction software.

      Select an extraction point. This is where the unzipped JavaScript archives are placed once the files are extracted.

      Click "Extract" or "Unzip" (depending on the program you are using) and the extraction begins. JavaScript files typically aren't very large so it shouldn't take terribly long for the process to finish.
