      You will need to use your tape measure to measure the length of the room. After measuring the length write down the exact measurements. For this example the length of the room is 15 feet.

      You will now use your tape measure to measure the width of the room. After measuring the width of the room you will also write down the exact measurements. For this example the width of the room is 12 feet.

      You will now multiply the length of the room and the width of the room. (L x W = SF)

      For this example the equation would be (15 feet x 12 feet = 180 square feet).
