How to Know God's Will

Most Christians who are serious about their faith want to know God's will. They want to do what God wants them to do because they believe that what He wants is better than what they want. God has a plan for every unique person on this earth. By submitting to His will we can be sure that our life will meet God's purpose.

Instructions

1. Submit to God. It's easy to say that you want to know God's will. Submitting yourself to Him and being ready to accept His will can be more difficult. If you truly want to know God's will you will be ready to accept whatever God has for you.

2. Pray. Go to God first and ask Him what His will is for your life. If you are trying to make a decision, ask Him to make His will clear for you. Believe that God will show you His will and be ready to follow it.

3. Seek counsel. If you aren't hearing from God talk to others who walk closely with God. Tell them about what you are seeking and what you have done so far. Ask them to pray with you and give you their counsel.

4. Wait on the Lord. Seek Him with an honest heart. He is faithful and will answer your prayers.
