Log on to the Internet from your computer.

Go to www.killdisk.com. Kill Disk is a free program which will wipe your hard drive clean. It stands up to the Department of Defense's standards for erasing computer hard drives.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page. You will see a table showing the features of the free version and paid version of Kill Disk. At the bottom of the free version column there will be a link which reads "Download." Click this link. A new page will load on your screen.

On the new page, you will see a table titled "Download Active@ KillDisk." In the left of this table you will see a column titled "DOS+Windows Suite." Click the first link in this column.

Click "Yes" on the new window that opens, asking you if you wish to download the Kill Disk program.

Follow the instructions given on screen by Kill Disk to completely erase your C drive.
