How to Use Prana to Heal

Prana, or ki/life energy, is the energy that interacts with all beings and objects. It produces positive thoughts, feelings, and emotions, as well as healing and restoring balance to the body. When you begin to heal using Prana, you will learn how to be in touch with your body and will begin to feel changes occur in it. It will take a few training sessions to know what signs to look for to recognize whether or not the healing is working.

Instructions

    • 1

Sit in a healing center or a place with trees. Healing centers are areas where the volume of Prana is much higher than in other places. These centers can be in nature or in places with highly positive people. Trees are known for having a higher concentration of Prana than any other object in nature.

    • 2

Close your eyes and relax your body completely. You can be in any position you find comfortable, including lying on the ground. It helps to concentrate on your breathing. If you find you are getting distracted, repeat the words "breathe in" as you inhale and "breathe out" as you exhale.

    • 3

Breathe with your stomach. Among many other benefits, this increases blood flow and stimulates your organs to function properly.

    • 4

Follow your Prana instructor's direction. Typically, it will consist of exercises on feeling the Prana around you, but ultimately, it is up to you to pull in all the positive Prana you can and believe that your body is healing itself.

    • 5

Ask your Prana instructor about group sessions where other students or instructors get together to perform healing. In these sessions the participants concentrate their positive/healing Prana into the instructor and the instructor channels all that energy, plus their own, your body to help heal it.

Tips & Warnings

  • There are three types of Prana: air, solar and ground. Air and solar Pranas are absorbed by everything in the world, through the skin and breathing. Ground Prana is absorbed by walking barefoot on the ground and absorbing it through the soles of the feet. It is best to absorb the ground Prana by walking barefoot in areas that are grassy or earthy.
