Windows Explorer is a file management program that comes with Windows operating systems. It makes it easy for you to find, add, delete, copy, and paste files to your hard drive. Explorer allows you to create new folders in just a few simple steps.

- Windows Explorer
Right-click the Start menu and select "Explore" from the list of options. You can also press Windows key and "E." This will bring up the Windows Explorer application.
Type in the address of the location where you want to create the new folder in the "Address" bar. If you're not sure of the exact address, simply click the down-pointing arrow in the "Address" bar to view the various file locations on your computer and click one to navigate through the folders.
Click "File" then "New" then "Folder" on the Explorer main menu. You can also click "Make a New Folder" from the sidebar or click "ALT" then "F-W-F" on your keyboard.
Type in the new name for your folder in the highlighted area and then click "Enter." You can now add new files to your folder.
