How to Download From Limewire to Windows Media
Downloading from Limewire to Windows Media is a basic importing process that can be conducted through the Windows Media Player tools and settings. The process will take more time the more songs you are trying to import. Once your downloaded Limewire files are imported into Windows Media Player, these files will be visible and accessible for playback in the Windows Media Player application.

Click the "Windows Media Player" button on the computer taskbar at the bottom edge of the computer screen.

Right-click over the blank section of the Windows Media Player navigation bar. This blank section is on the left side of the "Now Playing " tab.

Move the mouse over to the "File" tab, scroll down the File menu, and click the "Add to Library" action.

Select the "Add" option that will appear below the Windows Media Player file folder directory box to locate your computer's direct folder location for LimeWire files.

Click the arrow to the left of your user account name tab in the pop-up window to access your personal file folders.

Go to the Documents sub-folder in the menu that will appear. Click the "LimeWire" folder tab and then click either "Saved" or "Shared." The folder will then be added to your Windows Media Player monitored folders.

Click "OK" to begin importing your LimeWire music files to Windows Media Player. When the progress window closes, the process is complete.

Tips & Warnings
If the Limewire button is not located on the taskbar, simply click the desktop icon that may be visible or access the program through the Start menu.
If you have trouble locating the blank section of the navigation bar, you can also press F3 on your computer's keyboard for direct access to the "Add to Library" window.
Once the LimeWire file folder location is added to your list of Windows Media Player monitored folders, it will always be listed. Therefore, when you want to download new files at a later date, you can simply bypass steps 4 through 6.
Files cannot be downloaded directly from LimeWire to Windows Media Player, automatically. They are automatically stored to the LimeWire library folder. All other options must be conducted manually, which is why files must be imported to Windows Media Player.
LimeWire files must be downloaded to the computer prior to your attempt to them to the Windows Media Player library.
Be advised that all LimeWire files will be imported to Windows Media Player. Incomplete files will also be uploaded, so some files may not be complete for full playback. Therefore, it is imperative that you delete all of the incomplete file downloads from the LimeWire application itself before attempting to import to Windows Media Player.
Windows Media Player may only support WMA and MP3 formatted songs. When downloading from LimeWire, make sure the file type reads, "WMA" or "MP3" to avoid downloading a music file formatted in a codec that will not play successfully in Windows Media Player.
In Step 6, the title of the file folder location will vary depending on the version of LimeWire you are operating on. But in most cases, only one of these folders will be listed as a valid selection.
