How To Remove Hardened Glue From a Truck Body
If glue has somehow found its way onto your truck, it may seem like a good time to panic, especially if it's hardened. Though thoughts of peeling it off along with a sizable chunk of paint have crossed your mind, this is not the way to go about it. In the interest of removing the glue and keep your truck's paint job intact, there's a much better way to go about this.

Remove the Glue with White Vinegar

Soak a clean cloth in white vinegar.

Place the cloth on the glue, making sure to cover it completely.

Allow the cloth to sit on the glue for 30 minutes to an hour. If the glue is in an area where you can't place a cloth on it, pour undiluted white vinegar into a spray bottle and spray the area to soak it. Keep reapplying the solution as it dries up every few minutes for the next half hour.

Wipe the area with a clean cloth to remove the glue.

Rinse the area with clean water.
Remove the Glue with Heat

Hold a hair dryer on a low heat setting an inch over the glue.

Hold the hair dryer in place for 30 seconds to a minute to make the glue soft.

Wipe the glue off of the truck with a clean lint free cloth or paper towel.

Wash the area with warm soapy water.

Rinse the area with clean water to remove any residual soap or glue.

Tips & Warnings
If you opt to use a commercial cleaner to remove the glue, be sure to read and follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully.
Avoid the use of abrasives and harsh chemicals that may damage the paint.
