How to Hang Music Speakers
Hang your music speakers on the wall to increase the sound quality of your stereo or home entertainment system. Speakers that are designed for hanging typically come with an optional mounting bracket and screws. Separate brackets can be purchased, but make sure your speakers have bracket connection points at the back and that you buy manufacturer-recommended brackets that are appropriate to the specifications of your speakers. Brackets typically provide the ability to swivel and pivot your speakers.

1
Decide where to hang the speakers. Ensure balanced sound by hanging the speakers at the same height. Hank speakers no higher than two feet above ear level and space them as far apart as possible for a full range of sound. Measure and mark the locations for the brackets. For stability, the brackets should be screwed into a wall stud. Use a stud finder to locate the studs. Anchors can also be used if you are unable to screw into a stud.

Tips & Warnings
There are many options for hiding hanging speaker wires that run along the floor or wall. For the knowledgeable handyman, a holes can be drilled into the sheetrock behind the speakers and behind the source and the wire can be threaded inside the wall. Raceways and cable covers can alternatively be used. Flat speaker wire is also available, which can be glued to the wall and painted over.
