How to Make Easy Marinated Mushrooms
Marinated mushrooms are a tasty treat which can be found in many different dishes. Often found in salads, marinated mushrooms add a delicious flavor to the mix of lettuce leaves, tomatoes, cucumbers and more. There are many different varieties of mushrooms that can be marinated, such as portobellos, shiitakes, morels and oyster mushrooms, just to name a few. - 2 cups small mushrooms
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tbsp. mined shallots
- 2 tbsp. sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp. minced fresh garlic
- 1/4 cup tarragon vinegar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Dash pepper
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 2 sprigs parsley
- Leaves from 1 celery rib
- 2 large iceberg lettuce leaves formed into cup shapes

Place mushrooms into a medium-sized bowl and sprinkle 2 tbsp. of lemon juice over them.

In a saucepan, combine shallots, oil and garlic over a low heat and allow it to heat for five minutes. Turn up the heat to medium setting and add vinegar, salt and pepper. Allow it to simmer for an additional five minutes.

Remove saucepan from heat. Add mushrooms, sugar, parsley , and celery leaves and toss to combine all ingredients.

Transfer ingredients from the saucepan into a bowl with an airtight lid on top, and then place into the refrigerator to allow it to marinate overnight, or for at least eight hours.

Place lettuce cup leaves on serving plates and scoop the marinated mushrooms into the cups. Serve and enjoy.
