How to Make Hand Sanitizer Without Oils
Making your own homemade hand sanitizer without oils is a simple process requiring only a few ingredients that are easily found at your local drug store. This recipe yields approximately one cup of homemade hand sanitizer that is safe for children and adults. Does this Spark an idea?

2
Check the consistency of the hand sanitizer. If it appears thin or runny, add more Aloe Vera gel, a tablespoon at a time, until the mixture is thick. If the mixture is too thick, add a bit more rubbing alcohol or water until the desired consistency is reached.

Tips & Warnings
Leftover hand soap bottles with pump-tops make great storage containers for your homemade hand sanitizer, but any plastic bottle or container with lid will suffice.
If rubbing alcohol is not available, use witch hazel extract instead.
Store your hand sanitizer away from open flames and high temperatures, as the alcohol it contains is flammable.
The alcohol in your hand sanitizer may cause drying of the skin in some individuals. Limit use to two or three times per day if excessive dryness occurs.
