Tips & Warnings
Inspect your wallpaper right after the project is complete. If you find a bubble trapped under it, poke it with a pin, and press the spot with your finger to remove the air.
Applying primer ensures that you can easily remove your vinyl wallpaper at a later date.
Sand glossy walls with a sanding sponge prior to hanging wallpaper. Fill all holes and cracks prior to hanging for a smooth and even coverage.
Align your wallpaper edges, but do not overlap them at the seams.
Wash walls with mildew using a solution of bleach and warm water. Failing to remove the mildew will allow it to grow onto your newly applied vinyl wallpaper.
Always turn off electricity to the outlets and remove outlet covers prior to wallpapering. After pasting your wallpaper to the wall, cut out a small section to expose the outlet, and replace the covers when the project is finished.
