How to Fix Yellow Nails

Discolored nails sometimes appear after wearing dark nail colors, but they also can be a symptom of an underlying illness, such as diabetes or lung disease. If you frequently wear dark nail color, it's fairly easy to restore your nails to a healthy pink color. If you don't wear dark nail color but are experiencing yellow nails, see a doctor.

Things You'll Need

• 3 percent hydrogen peroxide, 1 tbsp.
• 2 1/2 tbsp. baking soda
• Small plastic bowl
• 1 Cotton Swab

Instructions

Fix Yellow Nails

1. Create a nail bleach by mixing baking soda and hydrogen peroxide in a small plastic bowl.

2. Mix the ingredients until they form a sticky paste.

3. Use a cotton swab to extract a small amount of the bleach mixture from the bowl.

4. Spread the mixture under the tip of each nail, and then over the front of each nail.

5. Let the mixture sit on your nails for about 3 minutes.

6. Rinse nails with with warm water.

7. Repeat every few weeks to naturally whiten your nails.
