1
Take a trip to your local college bookstore, where you will be sure to find many textbooks that are currently in demand. You can also trade in textbooks or get a refund, though usually refunds from college bookstores will be pretty slim compared to what you first paid for the books.
-
2
Visit websites like amazon.com and half.com to find textbooks to buy. You can also sell the textbooks you own on these sites after creating a seller account. There are other sites dedicated solely to the buying and selling of textbooks, including websites like ecampus.com and swapbooks.com. Usually, you can find textbooks for a lot less money online than you can find at college book stores.

Use social networking sites such as facebook.com, myspace.com and craigslist.com to post ads suggesting that you want to buy books, as well as sell them. You can also post on your profile that you are looking for books to buy, which should lead people who need to sell their books to contact you.

Post fliers on or near college campuses indicating that you are interested in buying used textbooks, as well as selling them. Make sure that before you put any fliers up on a college campus that you check with their Student Life office to get the college's approval.
