1
Wash polyurethane chairs, loungers and tables with warm soapy water. Mild dish-washing soap will remove dust, sticky fingerprints and scuff marks. If mold or mildew is evident, add 1 cup of household bleach and 2 cups of soap to 1 gallon of water and scrub with a soft brush.
-
2
Remove stubborn stains and marks by scrubbing with a mildly abrasive cleanser.
-
-
3
Rinse well with clear water.
-
4
Allow to dry completely. Never store patio furniture by wrapping it in plastic. The plastic covering will trap moisture and encourage mold or mildew growth.
-
5
Polish polyurethane furniture with an organic glass cleaner. Spray on the cleaner, allow it to sit for a couple of minutes, and then wipe the furniture with a soft cloth. Household vinegar, diluted one-to-one with water provides an effective cleaner/polisher. Vinegar will cut through food residue, hard-water stains and normal soil. Saturate a soft rag with the vinegar/water solution and wipe off the furniture.

6
Remove scratches (darker colors may show up scratches more) with a car polish or similar product suitable for polyurethane finishes. Read and follow the manufacturer's label instructions for application.
-
7
Store polyurethane lawn chairs and other pieces of polyurethane patio furniture in a dry location away from severe winter weather's assault. Ice buildup and snow weight can crack the furniture's structure.
