How to Print on Slim DVD Inserts
Creating a DVD booklet insert can add some appeal to the look of your DVD packaging. However, the slim insert of a DVD often doesn't come in a standard-printer paper size, in which case you need to design and create it your own. Luckily many design software provides the specific template for the slim DVD insert.

Launch the design software you have on your computer. Most computer printers come with a design software, however if you do not have one, you can purchase the software from most computer and electronic stores.

Select the "DVD Insert" template. The page layout changes to the specific DVD insert size.

Add the content, pictures and other information you want on the slim DVD insert.

Click "Print" and the design is printed onto a standard printer paper, with a large blank boarder around the image.

Place a ruler along the end of the image. Cut along the ruler with a knife. Repeat this process around all of the sides to cut out the entire DVD insert.

Tips & Warnings
When cutting the insert out of the paper, place a piece of cardboard under the paper to keep from cutting your table.
There are also precut DVD case inserts available that coincide with the layout on most computer programs. These can be purchased at any office supply store.
