The Samsung Instinct is a touchscreen capable smart phone released by Samsung. It is used on the Sprint cellular network. Occasionally, your phone may encounter problems that cannot be repaired through the phone interface, and require a factory reset. Thankfully, resetting your phone to factory settings is a fairly simple process that takes only a few minutes to perform.
Power up your Samsung Instinct and access the "Home" menu.
Touch the "Main Menu" tab located at the bottom right of the screen.
Touch "Settings." Then scroll to the bottom of the following menu list to locate "Reset."
Touch "Reset Settings" and read all the displayed information. When you have finished reading the notification select "Proceed" to reset your phone settings to the factory defaults.
Tips & Warnings
- Resetting your phone settings will not delete any data on the phone itself, it will only restore the phone settings to their factory defaults. If you wish to delete all data on the phone as well, follow the same instructions as above, but select "Reset Phone," instead of "Reset Settings." Note that you will not be able to recover any data deleted in this way.
