Instructions

  1. For Luggage

    • 1

Find a colorful card, or make one from a piece of card stock. You can use a playing card from a deck of cards. You can also use a small Christmas card. If you make one from card stock, choose a bright noticeable color. Decorate it with markers, stickers, or a picture of your favorite animal. It just has to stand out and be noticeable to you.

    • 2

Write your address on the back if you don't have that information on your luggage tag. You can also use a peel-and-stick address label.

    • 3

Punch a hole in the top left corner of the card.

    • 4

Thread a piece of string through the hole and and tie it around the handle of your luggage. Make sure you have a double knot so that it does not come loose and fall off.

    For Products

    • 5

Gather together your business cards. These already contain your business name and contact information.

    • 6

Punch a hole in the top left corner with a hole puncher.

    • 7

Thread a piece of ribbon (preferably a color that matches the colors on your business card) through the hole and tie around the piece of jewelry or product that you are selling. Make a double knot so that the tag doesn't come loose and fall off.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are making a hang tag from card stock, you want the hang tag to be at least the size of a business card. If it is any smaller, you will have trouble seeing it from far away.

  • You may want to laminate your hang tag to prevent it from getting damaged in bad weather.
