Click on the "Start" menu and open "all programs." Search for HP Media Smart Webcam in the list of programs. Otherwise, type webcam into the search box to find the program.

Maximize the screen and adjust the laptop to the angle that best views what you want to capture.

Select any special effects that you want, including frames, avatars, filters or distortions. You may also choose emotion icons or draw your own effects.

Select what kind of image you want to use, video or still shot. Click on the button and watch for the countdown. Press "stop" when you are finished recording a video.

View the images or videos on the right side of the screen. Delete anything you don't want to keep.
