How to Get Rid of Gridlines in Microsoft Excel 2007

The gridlines in Excel can easily be removed for viewing and/or printing of the spreadsheet, offering you a cleaner presentation of your information.

Things You'll Need

  • Microsoft Excel 2007 program

Remove Gridlines from Excel

  • Open an existing or new Microsoft Excel 2007 spreadsheet.

  • Right-click with your mouse on the "Tools" menu, located on the top toolbar.

  • Locate and right-click on "Options."

  • Select the "View" tab.

  • In the "Windows Options" section, located in at the bottom of the pop-up window, right click in the check box next to: "Gridlines." Click "OK" to save your changes.

Remove Gridlines from Excel Print Job

  • Open an existing or new Microsoft Excel 2007 spreadsheet.

  • Right-click on the "File" menu, located on the top toolbar.

  • Locate and right-click on "Page Setup."

  • Select the "Sheet" tab.

  • In the "Print" section, located in the middle of the pop-up window, right-click in the check box next to: "Gridlines." Click "OK" to save your changes.

Tips & Warnings

  • The keyboard shortcut to open the "Options" pop-up window is: "Alt" and "T," followed by "O."
  • The keyboard shortcut to open the "Page Setup" pop-up window is: "Alt" and "F," followed by "U."
