How to Keep Your Keurig Coffee Maker Quiet

Keurig coffee makers are convenient for a quick cup of java in the morning, but some machines can seem really noisy. If your coffee maker loudly rattles or "walks" on the kitchen counter, there is an easy solution to keep from waking everyone in the house.

Instructions

1. Try placing a cork board, mouse pad or cutting board under the coffee maker to reduce the noise.

2. Turn the unit over and check the feet on the bottom. On some models, the black rubber feet don't touch the countertop; instead, the hard plastic frame supports the unit. If this is the case, it could be contributing to the noise.

3. Purchase silicone cabinet door bumpers from a home improvement store. Install them as soft feet to cushion the bottom of the unit and reduce the noise.

Tips & Warnings

• There are other coffee makers out there like the Melita and Senseo that make good cups of coffee too.

• If you like dark coffee, I suggest buying only the darker/bolder versions of coffee pods.

• If you like espresso, definitely try a Nespresso which is a little more expensive, but it makes a great espresso!
