      Open the Windows "Start" menu and click "Control Panel."

      Click on "Sound."

      Click the "Communcations" tab in the dialogue window that opens. Click the "Do Nothing" radio button.

      Click "OK" to save the change, and then click the "X" in the upper right corner of the Control Panel window to close it.
