Locate the water cup on the bottom-front of the unit; lift the cup from its place. Fill the cup with distilled water.

Unscrew and lift the lid of the reservoir and pour the distilled water from the cup into the unit until the water reaches the "Fill" line, taking care not to overfill the reservoir. Place the water cup back into it's holder on the front of the unit.

Cover the reservoir with the lid, screwing the lid into place until it is snug.

Place your jewelry pieces into the cleaning basket (located in the water cup on the front of the unit), arranging the pieces evenly so that no two pieces are touching.

Plug the unit into an electrical outlet. The "ready" indicator light will flash for 90 seconds while the unit is preheating; wait for the light to stop flashing before proceeding.

Press the button marked "Steam Activator." This will turn the unit on; it will cycle for 90 seconds while the unit is cleaning your jewelry. Steam will be released from the unit while the cycle is cleaning.

Allow the unit to cool completely before removing your jewelry pieces. Your gems will be cleaned and will sparkle.

Tips & Warnings
Clean the unit by soaking the water cup in white vinegar for five minutes after each use.
Demineralized water may be used instead of distilled water.
The Sharper Image Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner is not designed for use with turquoise, pearls, coral, kunzite, garnets, peridot, tanzanite, opals or emeralds as well as other stones that may be porous or are glued into place.
