Open a YouTube account at Youtube.com. Fill in your bio information, any websites you would like your viewers to visit, and other details. YouTube will walk you through this process.

Go to your YouTube account and click the yellow "Upload" button at upper-right.

Click the gray "Upload Video" button and browse for the homemade video on your hard drive you would like to upload, then click "Open".

Enter the title, description, tags, category, and privacy settings in their respective fields. ("Tags" help people find your video by keyword. For example, if your video depicts a scene in which a skyscraper appears, enter "skyscraper". Separate multiple keywords with commas.)

You can fill in further information about your video to provide more information to your viewers, such as geographical location, altitude, date recorded, and other details, if you wish. Access these options by hovering your mouse over your logged-in user name, then click Videos. Scroll to the video to which you would like to add some further information, and click "Edit".
Do not upload videos for which you do not have permission to share.
