3. Sell your item at a reasonable price! Go to websites like amazon, ebay, and other ads on craigslist and see how much people are selling that particular item for. From there you can pick a reasonable price range to sell your product. If you want it to sell quickly, you would naturally sell the price lower. If you aren't worried about selling something quickly, naturally you would set it higher.

4. Be very specific when you state your location. People do not want to travel far to get a particular item from craigslist. Hence why it's a more local approach than ebay. If you live in a bigger city, try to place a landmark that's around you. This will help you get rid of people who live entirely too far!

5. Craigslist offers an option to keep your e-mail private, use it! This way when people respond to your e-mail, they will be using the e-mail that craigslist gives them. It will be sent to your personal email, but the potential buyer won't know it unless you reply back. Only reply back if you are considering them as your buyer!

6. Be careful of scams. Craigslist is known for it's potential to scam you! Ignore people who ask you for your personal checking account number or bank number because they want to "wire" you money. Only accept cash or certified checks! Ignore people who ask you to mail them things and then they will send you the money. Also, meet a buyer in a public place so they don't know where you live.
