How to Replace a Fuel Injection Hose
Engine fuel injection hoses can fail at some point in their serviceable lifespan because of the high pressures they encounter in the fuel system and because of the high amount of heat there is under the hood. These adverse conditions take a toll on many under hood parts, including the fuel injection hoses. A leaking fuel injection hose is dangerous because the fuel can drip onto the hot exhaust and ignite a fire. To prevent this scenario, replace your fuel injection hose as soon as soon as trouble is suspected.
Instructions

1
Open the hood and prop it.
-
2
Remove the fuel injection relay from the relay box and crank the engine for five seconds. Do this two or three times to relieve the fuel pressure. If you don't relieve fuel system pressure, fuel may spray violently when you remove the fuel hose.
-
-
3
Unscrew the hose clamp that holds the fuel injection hose at both ends with a flat head screwdriver and remove the fuel hose.
-
4
Place the new fuel injection hose where the old one was and cut it to size with a utility knife.
-
5
Install the fuel injection hose and tighten the hose clamps with a flat head screwdriver.
-
6
Reinstall the fuel injection relay and start the car. Then check for any leaks in the new hose.

Tips & Warnings
When purchasing the fuel injection hose at the auto parts store, you must specify that you are looking for a high pressure fuel hose, and not the low pressure variety. If you install the low pressure hose on your application, it will burst and spray fuel all over the engine compartment, and may even injure you.
Wear safety glasses to protect your eyes from fuel spray.
