How to Wrap Money As a Gift
Giving money need not be unimaginative. Use some of the creativity you did not use in selecting a perfect gift to wrap the gift instead. The recipient will be impressed with your original gift-wrap and will appreciate the time you took to wrap the money gift in a special way. Choose a small box to hold most of the money and then use a few dollar bills to create an eye-catching money bow.
Things You'll Need

- Small box
- Gift money

Instructions

1
Line the gift box with tissue paper and place the gift money into the box. Fold the tissue paper over the money and close the box.
-
2
Wrap the box with the wrapping paper, securing with clear tape. Set the box aside.
-
-
3
Fold the nine bills into lengthwise thirds. Take the time to crease each fold well. Set aside one folded bill.
-
4
Take one folded bill and fold it into a sideways loop by overlapping the ends. The ends of the folded bill should be lined up with both edges even. Staple the ends together to hold them in place.
-
5
Repeat Step 4 with a second folded bill. Place the two looped bills together so the ends are overlapping each other by approximately 1 inch and the loops are extending out from each other in opposite directions.
-
6
Repeat steps 4 and 5 to create a total of four two-bill sections that are identical.
-
7
Place one two-bill section onto a flat work surface so one loop faces up and one loop faces down in a vertical line. Place a second two-bill section over the first so that the loops are in a horizontal line (one loop facing left and one loop facing right). The loops should resemble a "T." Staple the two sections together in the center.
-
8
Add another two-bill section over the first two sections, placing this section at a diagonal. Staple this section in the center. Add the last two-bill section, placing this section at the opposite diagonal and staple this section also.
-
9
Place the last folded bill onto the bow with the end of the folded bill in the open center of the bow and the bill extending outward. Staple the bill to hold it in place. Bring the other end of the bill over to make a simple loop in the center of the bow. Overlap the end of the bill over the first stapled end and staple this end of the bill in place to finish the bow.
-
10
Tape the money bow to the top of the wrapped gift box.
