How to Download YouTube Videos in Audio Format

YouTube is the largest video sharing network with a library containing millions of videos uploaded by regular users and media companies. You can search for and play back videos of different genres and eras. You can also download videos and convert them to audio format--without downloading any software--if you want to listen to the audio on your MP3 player or another audio application.

Instructions

1. Go to a free YouTube media converter website such as video2mp3.net or videotomp3.com.

2. Type the URL address of the YouTube video you want to convert to audio format. If you do not know the URL address, go to YouTube.com and locate the video you want to watch. Click it. Right-click the URL address on the address bar and click "Copy."

3. Paste the URL address of your YouTube video into the URL address window. Click "Convert" or "Download" depending on the online converter you are using.

4. Click "Save" to launch the file saving window when the conversion process completes. Type a name for the audio file and select the target folder in which to save it. Click "Save" to download the file to your computer.
