Instructions

    • 1

Dust mop the floor with a microfiber dust mop to remove loose dust and dirt. Go over the floor in one continuous motion and avoid lifting the mop from the floor. Shake out the dust mop outside after a substantial section of the floor has been cleaned. A soft-brush vacuum attachment also can be used for removing the loose dirt and dust from the floor.

    • 2

Fill a bucket with cool water. Add a few drops of mild dish soap or a neutral cleaner to the water, if necessary. For general cleaning, only water is necessary.

    • 3

Dip a sponge or rag mop into the bucket and wring it out well so that it is only slightly damp. A medium-bristled scrub brush works well on heavily soiled areas.

    • 4

Mop the entire surface with the cleaning solution. Avoid allowing the cleaning solution to puddle. Overlap the mop strokes as you are cleaning the floor.

    • 5

Remove excess water from the floor by going over the areas with a squeegee. Wipe up the water with a dry rag.

Tips & Warnings

  • Never use a pressure washer on acid-stained cement.

  • Avoid using cleaners with oil, acid or vinegar. Ammonia and bleach should also be avoided.
