After you install new cabinet doors, you will need to replace the drawer fronts for a totally modern look to your kitchen. Drawer fronts are either "solid," which means they are actually part of the drawers, or "applied fronts," which means that the fronts are separate pieces screwed to a pre-made drawer box.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cabinets
  • Handsaws
  • Jigsaws
  • Variable-speed Drills
  1. Step 1

Remove the drawer from the cabinet.

  2. Step 2

Cut off overhanging edges from the old drawer front with a hand saw or jig saw. If the drawer front is screwed on, remove the screws and remove the front.

  3. Step 3

Place the new drawer front onto the old front or, if you were able to remove the old front, set the new drawer front into its place. The overhang should be even on each side, as well as top and bottom.

  4. Step 4

Use a variable-speed drill to carefully put screws through the inside of the drawer into the new front. Be careful not to drill all the way through drawer front.
