How to Remove a Recent List From QuickTime

QuickTime is a multimedia player that allows you to playback videos and music in many different formats including MP4, and MP3. It is a cross-platform application available for both Windows and Macs. By default, QuickTime stores a "Recent" list, which allows you to view your recently accessed media files. If you want to protect your privacy, you can easily clear this list.

Instructions

    • 1

Launch the QuickTime player on your computer. You can launch QuickTime from the dock on your Mac computer or from the Start menu if you are using Windows.

    • 2

Click the "File" menu located on the top. Scroll down the pop-up menu and highlight the "Open Recent" option.

    • 3

Click "Clear Menu" to remove your recent QuickTime list. Confirm that the list is clear by clicking "File" again and highlighting "Open Recent." You should no longer see a list of your recently viewed media files.
