How to Change the Default Line Space Settings on MS Word 2007
When Microsoft released Microsoft Word 2007, the programmers changed the default line space settings (including space between lines of text and paragraphs). If you preferred the spacing settings in previous versions of MS Word, it is easy to change them.

Find the menu tabs at the top of the MS 2007 window. (The ones that say "Home," "Insert," "Page Layout," and so on). Click on the "Home" tab and move your cursor to the Styles section, which should be the second one on the right.

Click on "Change Styles." In the menu that appears, move your cursor over "Style Set." In the tab that appears, you can see a couple of options.

If you want to make the line space settings the same as those from previous editions of Word, choose "Word 2003." If you later decide to put the default settings back, follow the same steps but choose "Set as Default."

To change any of the MS Word 2007 settings (line spacing or paragraph spacing), click on the "Home" tab and go to the "Paragraph" section (third from the right). Click on the "Line Spacing" button (in the second row, third from the right). There you can adjust the settings.
