1
Gather your supplies. Finding the right embellishments can be as simple as looking through your drawers, where various buttons and decorative pins that you already have might be lurking and looking for another use, like adorning a simple denim jacket.
If you can't find any at home, visit a local fabric or crafts store. Other accents could include beads, crystals, cloth flowers, ribbons and even string.

Attach embellishments. This can be done either by sewing or using hot glue. These two methods would be the most secure ways to keep your decorations on the jean jacket after it goes through the washing machine. If you're worried about keeping the jacket intact, consider dry cleaning it instead.
If you are using a bead or crystal with a hole through it, it can easily be attached to the jean jacket with a normal running stitch. After threading the needle, be sure to secure the ornament by running the thread through the hole multiple times.

Glue on the remaining ornaments. For ribbons, pins and other tidbits that don't have a hole that can be threaded, hot glue is a great option. Make sure to only use a little bit of glue so that it isn't visible from the front of the pin.

Tips & Warnings
Super glue can be used if you need to do a quick job.
Be careful with the hot glue gun because its high temperatures can burn skin.
