How to Inflate a Sevylor Boat
Sevylor has been selling inflatable boats to the public since 1959. The Sevylor boat has evolved from a simple, blow-up boat to a complex, inflatable system suitable for work as a tender or auxiliary vessel. It comes complete with a pump as well as instructions that warn you not to use an air compressor (like those found at filling stations) to inflate the boat.
Instructions

1
Spread the boat out so that the inflatable chambers can fill easily. Allowing the boat to "unfold" itself may place an unnecessary strain on the inflatable tubes and the pump.
-
2
Check the valve (called a "Boston Valve") to ensure that the valve is screwed all the way down onto the valve base. Open the square cap on top of the valve by turning it counterclockwise.

3
Attach the inflation hose from the Sevylor air pump to the valve. If the pump is electric, plug it in and start it. If the pump is a "foot bellows" type of pump, begin pumping the pedal with your foot.
-
4
Continue pumping until the boat's air chambers are firmly inflated.

Tips & Warnings
You can use a vacuum cleaner, operating in reverse, to fill a Sevylor boat's air chambers.
The Sevylor has an oral inflation tube, should you not have access to a pump.
Inflate the air chambers only until their surfaces are firm. Do not overinflate.
