How to French Braid

The French braid has been around since women grew long hair. The French braid is a popular hairstyle too this day. This style is great because it keeps you cool and keeps your hair out of your face. Also with this hairstyle, it reveals the natural beauty of your face. It says I am sexy and in control. When you let down a French braid, it leaves your hair with a crimped soft wave.

Things You'll Need

• Long Hair
• Hair Tie

Instructions

1. The best and easiest way is to wash or wet your hair.

2. Comb all the tangles and knots out of your hair.

3. 

   Comb hair strait back. Section the hair like a V with the point going toward the back.

4. 

   The easiest way to learn how to french braid is to start the section behind the ears its less braiding until you learn how to french braid. Once you have mastered that. You can section your hair like a V more toward the top front.

5. 

   Separate hair in three strands as shown in the picture.

6. 

   Hold the left strand of hair with your pinky.

7. 

   Move the right strand of hair toward your left hand.

8. 

   Shift your right strand of hair to your left. This is really the center strand of hair.

9. 

   Pick up a section of hair with the right hand and add it to the new right strand.

10. 

    Cross over left strand over the middle strand of hair to the right hand.

11. Keep adding a section of hair each time you cross over from your left hand to your right until you run out of hair to add.

12. 

    After you run out of hair, continue down just like a braid.

13. You can put a rubber band at the end of your French braid or tuck the braid under.
