How to Play the Right/Left Holiday Game
The Right/Left Holiday Game is a game that allows you to exchange holiday gifts in a fun way. As the host, you have to make sure all of your guests understand the rules in advance--for example, the money limit for gifts. You can write your own story or get one off the Internet (search for "Right/Left story") and make this game a yearly affair at party time.

1
Set up a gift exchange. You should have at least eight people in your list. Have them all buy a present within a cost limit and wrap them.
-
2
Meet at a house or restaurant. Make a night out of the holiday game. If you meet up and suddenly exchange gifts, it will be rushed and not fun.

3
Make up a story. The objective of the Right/Left Holiday Game is to create a story that contains the words "right" and "left". Start with your present in front of you. Every time you hear "right," you pass the gift you have to the person on your right. Every time you hear the word "left," you pass the gift you have to the person on your left. Your story should have more rights than lefts, or vice versa. If there are the same amount of rights and lefts, then you will end up with the same gift.
-
4
Finish the story and open your gift.
-
5
Repeat for as many presents as you told each person to bring to the party. For example, you could tell your eight guests to bring eight presents and one Right/Left story. Each person will leave with eight presents and get to tell their Right/Left story.
