How to Delete an Email Account on a BlackBerry Curve

The BlackBerry Curve has many features using its 3G wireless Internet service and one of those is the ability to send and receive email. After running the email setup wizard from your BlackBerry Curve's home screen, your email will be tied to your phone to allow easy and quick access to your in-box. However, if you're selling your phone, you'll want to delete your email address. Luckily, deleting the email address from your phone is simple.

Instructions

1. Use the trackball to highlight the "E-mail Setup" icon on the home screen.

2. Click the trackball to open the setup and your web browser, where you'll have multiple email options. (Ensure you're connected to your 3G wireless connection to delete your email.)

3. Use the trackball to highlight and click on the "Email Accounts" link to view a list of the email accounts registered to your phone.

4. Highlight and click on the email account you'd like to delete by using the trackball. This opens a new page where you'll have the option to delete the account from your phone.

5. Click on "Delete" with the trackball. Confirm the deletion when a dialog box prompts you to.
