How to Heat a Fondue Pot

Fondue is great as both an appetizer and dessert, depending on what you're using for dipping. When it comes to keeping melted chocolate warm, there is little preparation needed in order to do so. With a tea light, you can keep your fondue going for an extended period of time without any hassle. It will give you enough time to enjoy your dippers and go for seconds. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

      Melt your dip (cheese, chocolate) in its own bowl, not the fondue pot itself. This will allow you to heat up the fondue pot separately while you are preparing the dip elsewhere.

      Light one tea candle below the stand for the fondue with the pot in place. Allow the candle to heat up the pot. Warm it up 5 to 10 minutes prior to adding the dip.

      Pour in the dip once you have allowed the pot to warm up. Stir it well to distribute the heat.

      Replace the tea light prior to the wick reaching its end to make sure you are getting the maximum amount of heat out of your candle.

Tips & Warnings

  • Keep stirring your dip in between eating to distribute the heat evenly in the pot.
