Raise your arms slightly and wrap the measuring tape around your chest. Ensure that the tape is positioned over the shoulder blades and around the fullest point of the chest. This will give you your bust or chest size.

Extend the tape from the corner of your underarm down to your wrist. This will be your sleeve length, and sleeve length determines coat length.
