How to Convert a Mac JPEG4 to a PC JPEG

JPEG is a popular image format that is used on both PCs and Mac computers. This image format is universal and because the formatting is not different from one type of computer to the other, it can be easily converted between the two different systems. You do not need any additional programs on your computer, and the only extra piece of equipment you need is a device on which to save the JPEG so you can move the file from one computer to the other.

Instructions

    • 1

Connect either the external hard drive or the flash drive to the Mac computer. Once connected and powered on (for hard drives), the Mac is going to detect it and a desktop icon will appear.

    • 2

Open the desktop icon for the hard drive or flash drive. Click-and-drag the JPEG file into this window and allow it to copy over.

    • 3

Drag the icon down to the trashcan in the lower right corner of the desktop. The drive's icon is going to disappear, then you can remove the device from the Mac.

    • 4

Connect the hard drive/flash drive to the PC and open "My Computer" (or "Computer").

    • 5

Double-click the hard drive/removable flash drive's icon to open the device's window. Drag the JPEG file into the PC and wait for it to copy over. Once it has saved onto the PC, you can use it and view it without any conversion or special software.
