How to Get Unbanned in a Java Chat Room
There are many number of reasons you might find yourself banned from a Java chat room, from a misunderstanding to a case of mistaken IP address. Getting past the ban is relatively simple and will allow you to explain the situation to the chat room moderator so she can help restore your account to its original status. In a case where you have been banned for malicious behavior, bypassing the system may be considered harassment and could result in further action by the chat room moderators and administration.

Contact the site administrator before you do anything. In the case of a misunderstanding, you may be able to get unbanned without having to go through alternate routes. If there is no contact information for the administrator available, there are other methods.

Enter the site through a proxy server, such as Free Proxy Server or You Hide. The proxy server will hide your personal information, making it impossible for the Java chat to detect your IP address and allowing you to log in to your account to access the chat room.

Set up a new account with an alternate email address. If the chat room has banned you by email alone, creating a new email account will allow you to make a new account and enter the chat room.

Clear your cookies and browsing history. To do this, go into the "Tools" menu on your browser and clear the history. Make sure the cookies box is checked before you clear. Sometimes clearing your cookies will delete the saved information in your browser, allowing you to enter the chat room.

This advice is really crap. What lame ignoramus wrote this? 'You Hide' (which requires a fee) and 'Free Proxy Server' are http proxy servers, and Java chatrooms do not work through http proxy servers. In my experience, only Sock 5 proxy servers enable the use of Java chat sites, but even when you find any in the public lists to use with the browser, most are unreliable. Clearing cookies and browsing history has absolutley no effect, because the IP address is blocked on the server side. A different computer will not provide a different IP address if it is run from the same location through the same connection.
