Instructions

    • 1

Scrape away as much of the nail polish with a plastic knife as possible if the polish has dried. If the nail polish is still wet, blot the stain gently with paper towels. Be careful not to rub as this will cause the stain to spread.

    • 2

Apply nail polish remover with acetone to a clean white cloth.

    • 3

Wipe the area gently with the cloth, rubbing towards the center of the stain to prevent it from spreading further out onto the carpet.

    • 4

Continue to scrub, adding more of the nail polish remover to the cloth as needed.

    • 5

Place a fan nearby to help the area dry quickly once the stain is gone.

    • 6

Vacuum the area to fluff the pile back up once the carpet is completely dry.

Tips & Warnings

  • White vinegar or glass cleaner are acceptable substitutes for nail polish remover.
