How to Copy an Outlook 2007 Calendar

Microsoft Outlook makes it easy to copy your calendar just in case you need two separate instances of it for business and personal uses. You can then move your calendar to another folder so that it can be used on another computer or user account on the same computer. There are several things you need to do to make sure that all of the calendar items that you need to copy get moved to the new folder.

      Clear the current view. Click on the calendar folder to make sure it is the item that is currently on the screen. Click on "View" from the toolbar and then "Current View." Click "By Category." Click on "View" again and point to "Current View," then click on "Customize Current View." Click "Filter" and then "Clear All" in the "View Summary" dialog box. Click "OK" twice to set the changes and close the dialog boxes.

      Define a new tabular view. Select the "Calendar" folder. Click on "View" on the toolbar and then "Current View," "Define Views" and "New." Type in the name you want for the view and click "Table" to select it. Click "OK." Click "Sort" in the "View Summary." Select "Start" and "Ascending" in the "Sort items" list. Select "(none)" in the "Then By" list before clicking "OK." Click "OK" again and then "Apply View."

      Copy the Outlook 2007 calendar. Click on "Select All" from the "Edit" menu. Click on the "Copy" button in" the toolbar. Select the destination folder that you want the new calendar copied to. Click on the "Paste" button on the toolbar. The calendar is now copied to the new folder.
