Instructions

    • 1

Obtain a large piece of red felt, long enough to cover your toddler's body from the back of the knees to the front.

    • 2

Cut a large hole in the center of the red felt, big enough to easily get your toddler's head through, but small enough to allow the remainder of the felt to rest on the child's shoulders.

    • 3

Fold the piece of felt so that both sides are perfectly equal in size.

    • 4

Cut the felt so that it is shaped like a strawberry, while also making sure that the other side of the felt stays perfectly in place so that both sides will look the same. You will want to create a triangle-shape with round corners, starting narrow at the bottom and getting wider as you get closer to the top. The desired visual should be of an upright strawberry.

    • 5

Use black or dark brown paint to cover the felt with small oval shapes for strawberry seeds. Paint them on both sides of the costume.

    • 6

Place a green beret on your toddler's head to represent a strawberry's leaves.

    • 7

Dress your child in warm clothes if he is going trick-or-treating, preferably in colors like red and green.

    • 8

Pull the strawberry costume over the child's head and make any necessary changes to the shape.
