Tips & Warnings
Thaw frozen king crab legs overnight in the refrigerator or run under cool water and drain. When purchasing frozen king crab legs, plan on approximately one pound per person.
You can also add 2 tablespoons of butter and a tablespoon of lemon juice or other seasonings to the water in the pan. These will season the crab as it heats.
If you are cooking fresh king crab legs, use the same method but increase the water to 1/4 inch and bake for 23 to 25 minutes or until the shells are bright red and the meat is solid, opaque white in color.
