Put on the latex gloves.

Find the common areas where the termites congregate. Walk around in your garden and take note of where you see the termites crawling on the ground or on your plants.

Sprinkle termite bait that is safe to use around plants in your garden. There are several places to get termiticides, such as home improvement stores, grocery stores and pest control businesses. Examples of termiticides are Bor-Ram and Boracare.

Repeat treatment when all bait has been taken from your garden.

Set up a barrier of termite bait around your home, 3 to 6 feet away from the structure.

Repeat until no termites are left. This process can take anywhere from six months to a year to complete.

The termites will take the bait back to their nests as a food source. It will then kill all of the termites that eat it.
Termite bait, as well as all other insecticides, are poisonous. Do not ingest it or get it in your eyes. Keep it out of reach of children and household pets.
